Hawks scored early and often to take care of the Rangers and move onto the next round.

JV at Farmington

Hawks scored 21 points in first half with some big pass plays and played some great D to secure a 1st round victory.

Varsity at Canton

The Hawks jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first half and surprised everyone by having to have our 8 men out. Ypsi quickly scored twice and added a pair of 2 point attempts to make it 20-16 Hawks at half. Ypsi started the second half by taking the kickoff and driving for a touchdown and missing the point after to make it 22-20 Ypsi. Our boys didn't hang thier heads - they fought back with a score to go back up 26-22. After some tough defense both sides for most of the 4th quarter, Ypsi took a long drive into the end zone with 2:58 remaining in the game to take a late 28-26 lead. Again the Hawks kept thier composure, and mixed some passes and runs and a 4th down conversion to march down the field and score with 58 seconds left in the game. The Hawks had to kick off to Ypsi with a 32-28 lead. A big kick-off that sailed over the Braves heads caught Ypsi by surprise, and left them with 80 yards to go for victory. The Hawks D would have no part of it, and the Braves wree unable to do anyjhthing. The Hawks proved themselves this night in Canton!
