7th annual Hawks Golf Classic
Thank You to everyone that attended the 7th annual Hawks Golf Classic on June 22nd! It was a HUGE success!!!
This year's outing raised $6473.15 for our kids and this great league!!!!
The weather was perfect and Brentwood Golf Club did a wonderful job grooming an awesome golf course plus served a delicious prime rib dinner with all the trimming. The staff were most accommodating, meeting all our needs.
This year we had a record turnout of golfers...110 and 21 more came to the banquet portion! That's 131 Hawks friends and family all in one room!!! THANK YOU!!!
We also had a chance to see some of our alumni Hawks players:
Devin & Desmond Adams (1999-2002); Adam Freeburg (2001-2006); Nick & Alex Leonowitz (1996-2001); Mike Merchant (2001-2006); Mike Parka (1996-1999); Mark Taylor (2001-2006) plus numerous past coaches joined the fun!

Age & Weight Limits (Weight Limits are in full gear minus shoulder pads and helmets)
Ages as of September 1st 2008
Varsity (12-14) 170-lbs
Junior Varsity (10-12) 140-lbs
Freshman (9-10) 125-lbs
Junior Freshman(7-8) 125-lbs
ATTENTION...CLEATS REMINDER
The league has a specific rule for cleats. Over the last 2 seasons there have been some incidents that we do not want to happen this year or in the future. The league rule for cleats is:
Football shoes shall consist of molded construction, of leather, canvas uppers or synthetic material of not less than eight (8) cleats per shoe, with molded (not screw-in) cleats of soft rubber construction and not to exceed more than ½ inch in length.
If you have any questions or not sure if your player's cleats meet the above requirements, please call or talk to your coach. It will be most helpful if you discuss this with your coach prior to the first game of the season, September 8, so there is no confusion for you and your player.
