Hawks House - Phase IV Completion of the field. Hawks field is Coach Lesner’s dream. It became a reality due to the tireless efforts, support, and devotion of Mike Stewart, Randy Smith, donations, and the many volunteers along with the families who gave up their husbands/fathers for the past 18 months. As you enjoy this wonderful field, picture it as woods and realize it was accomplished almost entirely by volunteers. What makes this more remarkable is that Pete did not do this for himself. He did this for our kids, the ones that played this season and for many seasons to come. The past two seasons Coaches Lesner, Stewart, and Smith haven’t limited their teaching to the discipline of football or the difference between a “good” block and a “great” one. They’ve taught the players about meeting impossible odds, hard work, dedication, dreams… ...And Heroes.
